Shared Vision has developed catalysts for mass creation that can help reenergize an urban area economically, culturally and socially. By providing innovative solutions to community revitalization, and by illuminating the common ground on which our plural society is built, Shared Vision projects foster unity and strength on local, regional, national and international levels.

Shared Vision has launched a nationwide search to site another monumental work of participatory public art. The work will draw creative input from the public, eventually including individuals across the United States and around the world. It is expected to attract national media attention and bring millions of visitors to the urban core during its creation and the first few decades of its life span, It has the potential to become an enduring centerpiece of the community and a catalyst for economic growth.

The project will be a large-scale work of visual art that responds to its historic, architectural and cultural context. Its creation will involve many different media, including video, dance, storytelling, a large, interactive web site, publications, and other mass communication tools. The overall effort will engage numerous regional and national designers and visual and performing artists in various collaborative capacities.
